Games Anyone?
I absolutely love incorporating games into review time. I have some very simple games that can be played at the beginning of class to review new topics. Kids love it too!
I even had one new student this year say the thing he was looking forward to the most in class was playing Spoons. It’s a great game that reviews what they are learning. Word gets around that Essentials is fun!
Imperative Spoons
Print out this game to match imperatives with their steps. A simple game of how to just got a whole lot more fun!
Interrogative Go Fish
Have students match questions with their answers to reinforce the concept of what imperatives are and how they work.
If you don’t have time for go Fish, these cards can easily be used for spoons instead.
Parts of Speech Scattergories
Such a fun and challenging way to help your students recognize the different parts of speech!
Play Scattergories together and help your students create their own examples of each part of speech.
